Polish Constitution of May 3rd, 1791
The month of May holds deep historical and cultural significance for Polish people, woven with themes of patriotism, resilience, and national pride. One of the most important dates is May 3rd, which marks Constitution Day. This holiday commemorates the adoption of the Polish Constitution of May 3, 1791 - Europe's first and the world's second Democratic constitution (after the United States). It was a bold and progressive effort to reform the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and strengthen its governance in the face of internal decline and external threats.
Though the constitution itself was short-lived, its legacy endures as a powerful symbol of Polish sovereignty, democratic ideals, and intellectual advancement. Celebrations on May 3rd often include parades, concerts, patriotic ceremonies, and public speeches, all of which foster national unity and pride.
Another important day in May is May 2nd -Polish Diaspora Day, which honors the millions of Poles living outside Poland. It's a recognition of their contributions to Polish culture, history, and the global Polish community.

On Monday, May 26th we honor and remember the men and women of the armed forces who died in service to our country. Memorial Day serves not only as a time of reflection and gratitude but also as a reminder of the cost of freedom and the courage of those who defend it.
